A young pistol shrimp was unfortunate enough to grow up in the water near a major fast outlet. The toxic effluent released by this waste of space and calories changed him, making him stronger, smarter and much much bigger.
Description
Imagine Lobster Johnson as a shrimp-man and you have it exactly from costume to implacability. A two-fisted shrimp pistol wielder, his water abilities enable the focused blasting of cold, wet concussive force through his water weapons.
Catchphrase: Feel the claws that soak evil. Twice!
Traveller characters are normal people in general with a thirst for adventure and wealth. If you were going to do them Fate Core pyramid style, you would certainly start lower than the usual.
However, part of the Traveller fun is the oddball lethal character creation system. Fatalised random character generation thefore follows
There are six basic Traveller attributes. Strength, Dexterity, Endurance, Intelligence, Education and Social Standing.
Each of these start at Good (+1). See the end for The Ladder used here.
As an example, we will create a character named Lyta. Six FATE Dice rolls gives :
+ – – – , – 0 + – , + + – – , 0 + 0 – , + – + + , + 0 0 – or -2, -1, 0, 0, +2, 0
Having reread Super Squadron again recently, one interesting part near the end of that game involves the conversion of existing experienced heroes to the system, which does have an experience level statistic.
The ballparks used are comics the hero is currently starring in. If you are comic geeky enough you could certainly do that, or find out all the series that people are in. It gave fractional experience level awards if part of a team…e.g. X-Men, etc.
If you like more granular standard four-colour superheroics with respect to established heroes and your newbie Fate characters this an idea that I have been considering.
A simple way to look at it for Fate and its standard Milestone experience system would be to award a Major Milestone for each year of existence of the character. Perhaps lowered if only part of a team in a comic sense, as per Super Squadron. Divide by two or by four or something along those lines.
So, for example :

The framing theme is Henry Peter Gyrich’s organisation, Project Wideawake, but it isn’t about that.
Instead it is a mutant supplement, detailing Heroes and Villains like the Hellfire Club (which was great for gaming) and various human characters like Stevie Hunter and Val Cooper.
So definitely a mixed collection but does contain a good number of villains.
This supplement packs a lot in – so is great value and gives you an X-Men game in 36 pages at the time. Top notch basic supplement.

In the early 90s mutants were big, so they again updated them for the Advanced Game.
This similar campaign set has a 63 page roster book of heroes and villains, including newcomers like Trevor Fitzroy, Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike and more.
Also has stats for Domino, I noticed and some X-Factor the later.
